61. John H. Ritter "Jack"

John Henry Ritter
born: 09 Oct 1916 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 25 Jul 2008 in Grafton, Wisconsin, age 91

Parents: Walter William Ritter (1888-1937) &
                Helen Mary Weigand (1890-1979)

In 1932, at the age of 16, John gained his Eagle Scout, joined the military in 1942 and married Mary Elizabeth McDonough (1919-1999) in 1949. John and Mary had two daughters. 

John died at the age of 91 in Grafton, Wisconsin and is buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin beside his wife.



62. Harry P. Sacksteder "Junie"

Harry Pius Sacksteder Jr. 
born: 13 May 1916 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 15 Aug 2007 in Dayton, Ohio, age 91. 

Parents: Harry Pius Sacksteder Sr. (1890-1973) &
            Glenora P. Zimmer (1894-1972)

Harry married Mary Kay Liebhard (1919-1990) in 1939 and they had 3 children: Barry William (1941-2006), Karen Sue (1944-2007) and Thomas Michael (born 1950). 

This was an interesting one! Harry's second wife Ruth Anna Mendenhall (1927-2018) is my 7th cousin, 3x removed!! 

Harry died at the age of 91 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio beside his first wife Mary Kay. 





63. Ralph F. Scarpelli "Scoop"

Ralph Francis Scarpelli
born: 10 Nov 1916 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 02 Aug 1987 in Kettering, Ohio, age 70

Parents: Louis P. Scarpelli (1888-1948) &
                Amelia R. (1895-1957)

In 1952, Ralph married Eleanor May Witt (1918-2005) and they had two sons. 

Ralph died at the age of 70 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. 





64. Louis J. Schirtzinger 

Louis John Schirtzinger 
born: 30 Jul 1915 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 11 Nov 1997 in Kettering, Ohio, age 82

Parents: Carl Schirtzinger (1891-1979) & 
                Marie H. Barkmeyer (1889-1974) 

Louis married Lucille L. (born 1915) on 14 Apr 1936 and they had 3 children. 





65. Joseph F. Schmitz "Schultz" 

Joseph Fredrich Schmitz 
born: 14 Jun 1916 in Ohio
died: 26 Apr 1985 in Dayton, Ohio, age 68 

Parents: Engelbert Schmitz (1873-1946) &
                Martha H. Lieser (1875-1942)

Joseph married Mary Etta and they had at least 5 children: Kathleen A., Henry E., Joseph F. JR. (1946-1997), James Michael (1951-1991) and William Phillip (1954-2018). 

Joseph died at the age of 68 and is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Dayton; buried beside his son Joseph Jr.



66. Robert M. Schneble "Doc"

Robert Martin Schneble 
born: 02 Aug 1916 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 20 Jan 2000 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, age 83

Parents: Joseph C. Schneble (1872-1938) & 
                Cecilia Mathilda (1879-1961)

Robert married Mary Angeline Graziano (1918-2003) on 20 Jul 1940 and they had 6 children. 

Robert died at the age of 83 and he was cremated, ashes scattered. 


67. John T. Schneble "Johnny"

John Theodore Schneble
born: 29 Nov 1915 in Dayton, Ohio
died: 18 Jan 1994 in Pinellas, Florida, age 78

Parents: Anthony James Schneble (1875-1958) &
                Mary Theresa Moorman (1880-1940)

John married Madeleine Leliose Buehrle (1918-2017) on 02 Sep 1939 and they had 4 children, including Mary, Eileen and Theodore.





68. Bernard J. Shay "Tony"

Bernard John Anthony Shay
born: 28 Feb 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio
died: 28 Sep 1987 in Dayton, Ohio, age 70

Parents: John Albert Shay (1891-1953) & 
                Paula Monica Hoffman (1893-1955)

Bernard married Gertrude Delores Heckman (1923-1996) on 23 Aug 1958 and they had 2 children. 





69. Paul J. Smith "Jay"

Paul Jay Smith 
born: 12 Oct 1916 in Ohio
died: 21 Jun 1981 in Pennsylvania, age 64 

Parents: Paul Hugo Smith (1880-1954) &
            Marie B. Whetro (1887-1980)

Paul was a registered pharmacist. He graduated from Harvard and was a Navy Lieutenant commander during WWII. 
Paul married Rachel Harlan Willar (1930-2016) in 1954 and they had 3 children. 

Paul died at the age of 64 and is buried in the Old Saint David's Church Cemetery in Wayne, Pennsylvania. 


70. Robert E. Smith "Bob"


Robert E. Smith
born: about 1916 in Ohio

Because of the common name, it was difficult to research Robert. I did find a 1950 US census where he was a patient in the Wayton State Mental Hospital.
