Marion Richard "Mac" Mendenhall - my 2nd Great-Grandfather
Born: 31 Jul 1873 in North Star, Ohio
Marion was the first & only son of Richard Mendenhall (1852-1924) &
Margaret Frances Pierron (1851-1923)
He had one sister- Mary Lydia Mendenhall Cottrell (1875-1946)
On 12 Aug 1893, Marion married Louella Ida "Ella" Munn.
Born: 19 Apr 1872 in Elk County, PA
Died: 21 Jul 1958 in Dayton, OH, age 86
Ella was the daughter of John Park Munn (1841-1908) & Caroline Beams (1844-1900).
Marion & Ella had 3 children:
1. Earl Dwight Mendenhall (1894-1972) (my great-grandfather)
2. Treva Delight Mendenhall (1898-1981)
3. Rhea Marlene Mendenhall (1903-1987)
In the year 1900, Marion owned a hardware store in West Newton, Ohio:

Marion had many professions throughout his life. I don't think his hardware shop lasted too long. By 1910, he was working as a Silversmith in Allen, Ohio. By 1930, he was a watch repairman and that was his profession until retirement/end of his life.
Marion died on 12 Jan 1948 in Dayton, Ohio at the age of 74. Cause of death- Heart Disease.

Marion was buried in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Clark County, Ohio.
