My 2nd great-grandfather was Marion Richard "Mac" Mendenhall (1873-1948). He was born in North Star, Ohio.
North Star, Darke, Ohio
North Star is a very small town in Darke County, Ohio. It's population in 2010 was only 236! It was "platted" in 1852 and it's name is derived from it's location, which is on the edge of the Great Black Swamp.
