One Person at a Time...Agnes

~Even though I have a lot of people in my family tree, I also have a lot of "holes" that need more research. Over the next few months, I am going to attempt to patch up those holes by doing research one person at a time- starting at the beginning of the list~


Agnes- I actually have 2 Agnes' that I needed to research so I'm putting them in the same blog post.

1. Agnes
Before Research: 
My 11th great grandmother, unknown birth and death. She married Johann Spielman (1609-1670) and they had at least 1 son: Heinrich Spielman (1646-1706). 

After Research:
I was unable to locate her last name, unfortunately. She was born about 1609 in Germany and died between 1665-1674- according to some Ancestry.com member trees.
Johann and Agnes married in 1640 in Germany.


2. Agnes V.
Before Research: 
My mother-in-law of great aunt, b. in 1902 and d. in 1974. She married Clarence Michael Schock (1903-2000) and they had at least 1 son: Clarence V. Schock (1928-2012). 

After Research:
Agnes A. Hery
b. 27 Oct 1901 in Newark, Licking, Ohio
d. 15 Nov 1974 in Dayton, Ohio

Parents: George James Hery (1870-1953) & Elizabeth B. Call (1873-1955)

Agnes' grandfather- Nicholas Hery "O'Hara"- was born in 1839 in Ireland and came to America. He died on 18 Jan 1890 in Rochester, New York. 

Agnes' Residences:

1910- age 9- Rochester, Ward 15, Monroe, New York
1930- age 29- Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio

Agnes and Clarence had 3 children:
