Texas Birth Index- Mendenhall Surname, Part 9 (1914)

 ~Texas Birth Index- 1914~

~Unknown Male- 6th Cousin, 4x Removed

This child was born on Mar 11 1914 in Bowie, Texas to Jesse "Jess" Mendenhall (1871-1946) and Maude Hinton (1869-1941). I already have them in my tree, however, I don't have this child and there is no record of his name or mention of him anywhere in census records.

The child was born during birth, but I couldn't find any other information.

Jesse and Maude had 5 other children: Jesse Opal, Zack, Claude, Roy and Bessie.

I'm disappointed that I couldn't find any other information. If anyone reading knows more information, please don't hesitate to message me.

 ~Texas Birth Index- 1913~

(It's obvious that W.A. & Lula are the same as William Albert and Lula Bells... at first, I thought it could be twin birth, but I honestly think it's just two different certificates for some reason)

Mendenhall Surname- Places- Part 1

~The Mendenhall Valley

~Location- Near Juneau, Alaska

The Mendenhall Valley is located just North of the Juneau Airport. The valley includes the Mendenhall Glacier, Lake,  River, and more. (Namesake explained below).

Mendenhall Glacier is a glacier near Juneau and is part of the Juneau Icefield. The glacier seems to have had two different names in the past. It was originally named  Sitaantaago ("The glacier behind the town"). In 1879, it was named Auke Glacier by John Muir. In 1891, it was renamed Mendenhall.

Mendenhall Ice Caves are caves at the Mendenhall Glacier, and were formed by the glacier. Because the glacier is slowly melting, so are the caves. Only guided tours between July and September are recommended for safety.

Mendenhall Lake is a lake created from the melting Mendenhall Glacier. It is 3 miles North of the Juneau Airport and is 1.802 miles wide.

The Mendenhall River flows out of the lake.
Below are two maps that show the entire area.
