I originally had a different ancestor planned for this week, but realized that today is my grandmother’s birthday- so I changed it in honor of her! She would be 88 today if she were still alive.

Dorothy Jean Hendricks (1926-2010)- My Paternal Grandmother

Birth:           09 Jun 1926           Jeffersonville, Indiana

Death:           02 Aug 2010         Dayton, Ohio

                    Age: 84

Parents:       Isaac Hendricks Jr. (1883-1942) &

                              Myrtle May Hyman (1884-1953)

Dorothy's 7th great grandfather- Hendrick Daniel Hendrickson (1636-1677) immigrated to America from the Netherlands. 

Siblings:    

Dorothy was the youngest of 10 children!

Children: Dorothy and John had 4 more children together- 4 boys.

Death:

Dorothy lost a long fight to Colon Cancer on 02 Aug 2010, at the age of 84.

Burial:

Dorothy and her husband John are buried together in Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia, Greene, Ohio- in the Prayer Garden, Lot 124- B, Space 1 & 2.
