~Essie Pauline Mendenhall- 7th Cousin, 4x Removed
Essie Pauline "Pauline" was born on January 18, 1921 in El Paso, Texas to Paul Mendenhall (1892-1972) and Essie Harrison (1895-1942). She had one sister named Grace (listed in an earlier post).
Pauline married Edward Charles Davis (1921-1997) on December 5, 1941 when she was 20 years old. Together, they had 2 children: Carmen Pauline and Scott Edward.
Pauline died on March 15, 2011 when she was 90 years old. She is buried beside her husband in the Acton Cemetery in Acton, Texas.
~Marilynn Alice Mendenhall- 2nd Cousin, 3x Removed
Marilyn Alice was born on October 20, 1921 in Chambers County, Texas to Corwin Guy Mendenhall (1891-1961) and Eula Leona Gripon (1894-1989). She had 2 brothers- Corwin Guy Jr. and Lee Gripon.
On March 13, 1939, Marilyn married Melvin Sydney Sparks (1919-1991) at the age of 17. Together, they had 3 children: Jean Marie, Roland Lee, and Robert Jerry.
Marilyn died at the age of 66 on February 14, 1988. She is buried beside her husband in the Anahuac Cemetery in Anahuac, Texas.
~Robert Zane Mendenhall-7th Cousin, 5x Removed
Robert was born on November 30, 1921 in Wichita County, Texas to Thomas Wayne Mendenhall (1877-1953) and Vaddie Mabel Lougley (1879-1973). He had 6 siblings: Dale Lambert, Walter Lee, Geron Lynn, Wayne Hollis, Marion Louise, Thomas Lewis.
Robert married twice- first, on 03 Sep 1943, he married Wanda Ann Westmoreland (b. 1924). Secondly, he married Buena Pearson (1932-2008) on June 04, 1954.
Robert died on August 16, 1994 in Houston, Texas at the age of 72.
