I wish I knew a date for this picture! 

Betty was the 14th child of Jacob Franklin Mendenhall (1878-1943) & Carrie May Lee (1884-1960). She had 15 siblings!

On 12 Oct 1945, Betty married Adali Gat "Glenn" Yoakley (1916-1954) in Glendale, California. He was the son of Wilton Carlos Yoakley (1883-1958) & Bula Eva Dowers (1892-1986). 

Picture of Betty & unknown man- It could be one of her husbands- Glenn or James. If I were to guess, I'd say it is Glenn.

Betty & Glenn had 4 daughters:

1. Carrie Ann Yoakley (1946-1947)

2. Linda Lou Yoakley (b. 1948)

3. Nancy Carrol Yoakley (b. 1951)

4. Ellen Kaye Yoakley (b. 1954)

Glenn died in 1954, just five months before his last daughter was born. Poor Betty! Betty remarried later to James Joseph Stierhoff (1924-2006).  They had no children together.

~1940: April 6- Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California

16 year old Betty is living with her parents and siblings at 3258 La Clede Ave, their home is owned and is valued at $3000. The house is still there today and is valued at just under 1 million. It's a 5 bedroom, 2 bath house, 1,510 sqft.
