Honoring all Veterans


Happy Veterans Day!



I would like to every veteran in my tree- dead or alive- but that would be impossible, as I have too many people to go through, But here are a few: 


#1: Paul George Jeckering (1925-1954)- My Grandfather- WWII- Enlisted on 05 Oct 1943 at the age of 18- was still in high school! He was in the 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry/Regiment- Ohio. He was a cook and served in Luzon, Philippines and Nagoya, Japan. He was discharged at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Indiana on 15 Feb 1946. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal. 





#2: Neil Mendenhall- My uncle- (b. 1947)



#3: Harold Earl Mendenhall (1916-1989)- My Grandfather- Enlisted in the Army in WWII- 24 Aug 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

#4: Earl Dwight Mendenhall (1894-1972)- My Great Grandfather- Enlisted in WWI and WWII- I don't know if he actually served or not....




#5: Marion Richard Mendenhall (1873-1948)- My 2nd Great Grandfather- Registered for WWI- I don't know if he actually served though-- 



#6: Aaron Mendenhall (1828-1894)- My 4th Great Grandfather- Serviced in the Civil War- Corporal for Company F, 152nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He enlisted 19 Oct 1861, discharged 17 Nov 1864- length of service- 3 years, 28 days. 




#7: Mordecai Mendenhall (1713-1803)- My 8th Great Grandfather- didn't serve in the American Revolution, but he did receive Patriotic Service because he assisted soldiers with food and housing.
