One Person at a Time...Emma

~Even though I have a lot of people in my family tree, I also have a lot of "holes" that need more research. Over the next few months, I am going to attempt to patch up those holes by doing research one person at a time- starting at the beginning of the list~

#1 Emma C.

Before Research: 
Emma C. married William Shepler and they had 1 daughter- Margareth Asenath (b. 1878). Margareth married my 4th cousin, 5x removed- Albert Isaac Mendenhall (b. 1863). 

After Research:
Emma C. Beach was born in March 1851 in Ohio. Her parents were Schyler Nichols Beach (1811-1887) & Margaret E. Freeman (1816-1862). She had 4 siblings: 

1. Gilbert J. (b. 1837)
2. Sarah J. (b. 1841)
3. John S. (b. 1845)
4. Frank C. (b. 1849)

Emma married William Shepler (b. 1847) and they had 2 children: 

1. Harry Morrison Shepler (1872-1919)
2. Margareth Asenath Shepler (1878-?)


#2 Emma J.
Before Research:
Emma J. was born in 1856 and died in 1922. She married George W. Hanen (b. 1850) and they had a daughter- Lucille M. (1901-1974)- she married Harry Oliver Hendricks (1903-1971)- my grand uncle.

After Research:
Emma J. Reed was born in 1856 in West Virginia and died on 11 Nov 1922. She married George Washington Hanen (1850-1928) on 20 Nov 1873 in Wetzel Co., West Virginia. They had 3 children:

1. Netty
2. George Willis (1878-1964)
3. Lucille M. (1901-1974)
