In 1900, the Heider family had a servant- Francis Manning (age 35).

John and Mary owned a grocery store: J.A. Heider Groceries & Meat- after her husband died, Mary couldn't run the store so she sold it to her brother- Joseph H. Jeckering but it closed during the depression.

Mary is in the background- inside the store
Out front- Frank Joseph (son), Clarence Leo (son) and John Aloysius (son)

Mary Wilhelmina died on 22 Mar 1913 at the age of 52. Her funeral was the night of the great Dayton flood so it was delayed. She was buried in Calvary Cemetery- Sec 14, Lot 136, Space 9.
