Occupation(s):

Joseph’s father owned a grocery store. When he retired, Joseph took over the business. Here is a picture of Joseph and the store- Joseph is in the middle, in the back. He looks like the splitting image of my dad here J

Store was located at 1015 E. Third St. Pictured left to right- Leo Eggars, Joseph Jeckering & Frank Raab

I don’t know exactly when the store closed, but it was sometime between 1920 and 1930. By 1930, Joseph was working at Brinkman Tool & Die as a clerk in “toys” (according to the 1930 U.S. Census).

Residences:

1930 (age 60) -     2336 Riverside Dr., Dayton, Ohio
