One Person at a Time...Czarina (Serena)

~Even though I have a lot of people in my family tree, I also have a lot of "holes" that need more research. Over the next few months, I am going to attempt to patch up those holes by doing research one person at a time- starting at the beginning of the list~

Today's Name: Czarina 

Before Research:
Czarina was born in 1865. She married Daniel Ramwater (b. 1865) and they had 1 daughter- Ella Rainwater (1896-1981).


After Research:
Ok, I got the name Czarina from a census record- was obviously a matter of pronunciation that the census taker couldn't understand the name-- Her name was Serena. 

Serena Henson was born on 12 Feb 1865 in South Fork, Kentucky and died on 06 Jan 1910 in Mintonville, Kentucky. Her parents were Joseph Henson (1832-1906) & Sarah Jane Ware (1835-1880). Serena had 7 siblings: 
Hannah Elizabeth (b. 1854)
Mary Frances (b. 1856)
Benjamin Franklin (b. 1857)
John J. (b. 1863)
Rachel J. (b. 1867)
Mariah Smiley (b. 1869)
Nancy A. (b. 1874)

Serena married Daniel Francis Rainwater (1865-1913) on 04 May 1885 in Casey County, Kentucky. They had 8 children:
Elbert Lee (1886-1905)
John (1888-1966)
Hettie Jane (1890-1964)
Joseph (1893-1991)
Ella (1896-1981)
Everett (1896-1913)
Sarah (1898-1941)
Ruth (1901-1988)
